Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Project Management professional to join the APAC COE and CommOps network. This role will help manage, support, and monitor a wide variety of site-level and regional projects.

From design to data and from strategy to development, you need to love getting into the weeds with problems to figure out how to break down barriers, improve our organizational capabilities and build sustainable solutions. You will also be expected to think creatively, identify data trends, suggest improvements, and help create efficient processes.

This individual will work closely with leadership to ensure that each project’s scope and direction are on schedule and meeting the objective it was designed for. You will be working with a driven APAC CommOps team, employees, stakeholders, and management and will often be required to multitask skillfully. We have a small but competent and motivated team that drives APAC CommOps’ regional and local strategy, goals, and execution.

What the Candidate Will Do

1.Project Management: Manage, support, and monitor various regional and site-level projects, across multiple teams dealing with subject matters such as quality and service improvements, creating and improving capabilities, data analytics, migrations, people initiatives, reporting improvements, and process standardization. Ensuring that the following parameters are followed:

2.Execute within scope, time, and budget

3.Capture the right scope during the discovery phase

4.Drive project sponsor towards benefit realization from the onset

5.Ensure that all project documentation is completed

6.Estimate work efforts, define milestones, and manage resources accordingly, while driving adherence and compliance to deadlines on deliverables as assigned to projects

7.Communication: You will be responsible for communicating directly and collaborating with your team members and stakeholders. Presenting organized thoughts and producing concise, and error-free materials such as reports, summaries, data tables, charts, emails, etc. in a flow.

8.Planning & Organizing: You are expected to possess the utmost planning and organizing skills.

9.Accountable for ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time either by yourself or by your resource

10.Create short-term plans and timelines for executing tasks to proactively inquire about individual deadlines and shift priorities as needed

11.Develop, implement, and govern new processes for specific functions, and provide visibility to the milestones and performance across all functions.

12.Problem-Solving: You are expected to understand fundamental, well-scoped problems and ask clarifying questions to generate actionable insights and propose simple frameworks and methodologies that consider the business context. Part of this is ensuring that the following parameters are followed:

13.Choose, organize, and manage data effectively ensuring that appropriate checks are conducted.

14.Proactively work to remove or escalate risks or issues and enable forward momentum and progress

15.Identify problems and opportunities using root cause analysis

16.Continuous Improvement: You are responsible for monitoring, participating in, and documenting process improvement projects to drive better performance and profitability. You will be asked to identify process gaps and propose feasible solutions that improve COE’s performance and use cost-benefit analyses in decision-making for the short- and long-term.

17.Teamwork: As part of a team, you are expected to maintain healthy working relationships with your teammates, even in disagreement. You should be able to compromise when necessary to help the team achieve goals. It is also expected that you exude behaviors that promote a team environment where team members can communicate and contribute freely and express themselves diplomatically.

18.Stakeholder management: As a project manager, you will work with different teams and stakeholders and properly manage your relationships with them. You’ll do this by doing the following:

19.Keeping them informed on the progress, changes, and other vital issues that may come up.

20.Work with APAC senior leadership as a thought partner to ensure that we are able to achieve desired goals and work towards timely execution.

21.Source and use feedback gathered from the stakeholders whether internal or external and make sure necessary adjustments are made.

Basic Qualifications

1.Experience:
Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple teams
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and support creative problem-solving initiatives
Familiarity with project management concepts is a plus, but not required

2.Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with the following tools:

4.Google Slides / Powerpoint

5.Google Docs / Word

6.Critical thinking: Should be able to identify the root cause of a problem through a deep-dive analysis and suggest initiatives to resolve the identified issue.

7.Communication: Able to communicate insightful and meaningful recommendations to the team. Strong English proficiency with conversational Japanese required. Full bilingual fluency preferred.
